Hello, I’m Ruth Arbon. I’m a self-taught artist living in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside.

I create a variety of artworks including paintings, mobiles, jewellery, icons and shrines, and I’ve been selling my creations since 2020 via my Etsy shop.

Much of my art comes from my imagination and I am very inspired by nature and the invisible realms of spirit. My goddess icons or shrines are created intuitively and I never really know what they will look like until they are finished. I love creating with recycled and repurposed items including wood, beads, stones and shells.

I spent many years working as a cartographer and developed a steady hand and a love of fine lines which has been very helpful for my illustrations and also for creating the sacred geometry on my canvases.

I love sitting outside in the sunshine with a pot of tea and a book, or sitting by the woodburner if it’s chilly, any time is good for a cuppa! I love butterflies, you will find them on most of my creations. I love snails, they too can usually be found somewhere in my illustrations. I love the weather, sun, rain, snow, rainbows, storm clouds. I love stars and the moon (I’m a Cancerian!), flowers, birds and music. There is so much to love!

My spirituality is very important to me. It is an inner knowing that is hard to put into words, it is my support and guidance.

It gives me great joy and delight to create my art, which I hope shines through when you see it.

I would call myself a late bloomer. I am fifty nine years old and seem to get happier and more creative the older I get!
